huemul

(n) Like a roebuck; supposed to be the 'Huemul' mentioned by Molina.

I met with this animal deep inside the Cordillera, and indeed once, with consecutive shots, I killed a huemul and a guanaco.

These wolves kill young guanaco, and I have observed them pursuing a huemul.

So we packed up and camped that night in the end of the caadon near the spot where 165 I had shot my first huemul.

You could see that the puma had leaped upon the huemul from a neighbouring thicket, and there had been a struggle.
