    Chemistry.

    • : a colorless or pale-yellow terpene alcohol, C10H18O, with a geraniumlike odor, found in rose oil, soluble in alcohol and ether, insoluble in water: used in perfumes and flavors.

Examples

  • It is also a favourite adulterant for otto of rose, and is used as a source of geraniol.
