- : having a centrally located yolk, as certain insect eggs or ova.

Ova belonging to the former group are known as telolecithal ova, those to the latter as centrolecithal.
The segmentation has not been studied, but no doubt belongs to the centrolecithal type (vide pp. 110‑120).
