Pathology.
- : dilatation of a bronchus.
- : a goiter, especially a cystic goiter.

To be worn constantly in goitre or bronchocele, renewing it every month.
Used in bronchocele, scrofula, &c. Like burnt sponge, it owes its virtues to the presence of a very minute quantity of iodine.
Bronchocele, s. 'a tumor of that part of the aspera tertia, called the Bronchos,' and this last word is wanting.
It has been erroneously confounded by some writers with bronchocele and rachitis, from both of which it is totally distinct.
It was formerly in great repute in bronchocele and scrofulous complaints.
