This is a sub-variety of the Purple Borecole, growing about a foot and a half high.

Kale—borecole, should not be used until after heavy frosts in the fall.

It is very good cooked after frost, but is not quite so hardy as the Purple Borecole.

This is a tall variety of the Purple Borecole, with foliage very finely divided or fringed.

In its general character, this vegetable is not unlike some of the varieties of Kale or Borecole.
