apetalous

Rivina, ri-vī′na, n. a genus of apetalous plants, the pokeweed family.

Salicornia, sal-i-kor′ni-a, n. a genus of apetalous plants—the glass-wort, marsh-samphire.

Apetalous flowers occur in various Orders, as noted under the subdivisions.

There is also a variety which is apetalous, or has its petals reduced to mere rudiments.

I desire now to call attention to chemical groups under the apetalous plants having simplicity of floral elements.
